When are trade orders placed?

The New York Stock Exchange and NASDAQ are typically open Monday through Friday from  9:30am to 4:00pm ET, excluding observed holidays. For a list of observed holidays, see the NYSE and NASDAQ web sites.

When the market is open and the Primary Accountholder has placed an order from a child’s trade request or within their Investing for Parents portfolio, it is placed in real time and generally executed within seconds.

If the market is closed, trades will be placed at the beginning of the next trading day.

Only the Primary Accountholder can place trades from trade requests or decline trade requests from kids on their Greenlight account.
