What is autofunding?

Autofunding the Greenlight Wallet is useful to ensure you always have enough money in your account when your kids need it. You can decide whether Greenlight should move money to your Greenlight Wallet monthly or when the balance hits a certain threshold.

To set up autofunding:

  1. Tap the settings gear icon on your dashboard to access your settings
  2. Tap “Account
  3. Tap “Funding
  4. Tap on “Autofunding
    • If you do not already have autofunding set up, you may also notice the option to set up autofunding via the Greenlight Wallet tile directly on the Parent dashboard.
  5. Choose when you’d like funds to be added
    • When the account is low: automatically add a set amount of funds each time your Greenlight Wallet drops below a certain balance that you set
    • On the 1st of each month: automatically add a set amount of funds on the 1st of each month

Autofunding allowance can be used to ensure your child’s allowance gets paid on schedule, even if there is not enough money in your Greenlight Wallet at the time of payment

  2. Tap “Account
  3. Tap “Funding

What happens if I have insufficient funds in my linked account for autofunding?

If there aren’t enough funds in your linked account when an autofunding payment is scheduled, either for your Greenlight Wallet or for allowance autofunding payouts, the payment will fail.

Don’t worry—our system will automatically try again at the next scheduled payout date!
