What restrictions can I put on spending?

Store-Level Spend Control:

With Greenlight's patent-pending Spend Controls, you have the ability to restrict which stores your children can make purchases at and how much they can spend.

Looking for more flexibility? Adding money into your child's Spend Anywhere Spend Control allows your children to spend money where they see fit. Money that you add to Spend Anywhere can be spent wherever Mastercard is accepted, online and in-store. In most cases, within your specific Spend Control settings, you can also connect any of your child’s individual Spend Controls to Spend Anywhere so that these funds can be combined for purchases.

For example, if your child goes to make a purchase for $6 at Target, but their Spend Control only has $5 in the account, if this setting is turned ON the additional $1 will come from their Spend Anywhere Spend Control so that the purchase is not declined. If this setting is turned OFF, the purchase would be declined.

In-App Approvals:

If your child wants to make a purchase at a store you haven't approved and they don't have enough money in their Spend Anywhere Spend Control, they can send you a request for additional funds in real-time. You can approve or decline the request and chat with your child as needed. Click here to see how to send money to your child.

Freeze a Greenlight Card:
