How do I add money to my child or older adult’s savings?

With Greenlight Savings Reward, kids and older adults earn up to 6% on their Savings* — both General Savings and Savings Goals. Learn more here.

There are two separate ways to add money into their savings. 

To add money to your child or older adult's General Savings:

1. Navigate to their dashboard.
2. Tap on the Savings tile.
3. Click on “General Savings.”
4. Choose “Move $ In.”
5. Choose where you’d like the money to come from and the amount you’d like to move into General Savings.
6. Confirm your choices and tap “Move Money” to complete the process.
7. Their General Savings balance will update automatically.

To add money to one of their Savings Goals:

1. Navigate to their dashboard.
2. Tap on the Savings tile.
3. Tap on the Savings Goal you’d like to add money to.
4. Choose “Move $ In.”
5. Choose where you’d like the money to come from and the amount you’d like to move into General Savings.
6. Confirm your choices and tap “Move Money” to complete the process.
7. Their Savings Goal balance will update automatically.

* Greenlight + Invest families can earn monthly rewards of 1% per annum, Greenlight Core and Greenlight Select families can earn monthly rewards of 2% per annum, Greenlight Max families can earn 3% per annum, Greenlight Infinity families can earn 5% per annum, and Greenlight Family Shield families can earn 6% per annum on an average daily savings balance of up to $5,000 per family.
