How do I add money to my child’s savings?

With Greenlight Savings Reward, kids earn up to 5% on their Savings* — both General Savings and Savings Goals. Learn more here.

There are two separate ways to add money into your child's savings. 

To add money to your child's General Savings:

1. Navigate to your child's dashboard.
2. Tap on the Savings tile.
3. Click on “General Savings.”
4. Choose “Move $ In.”
5. Choose where you’d like the money to come from and the amount you’d like to move into General Savings.
6. Confirm your choices and tap “Move Money” to complete the process.
7. Your child’s General Savings balance will update automatically.

To add money to one of your child's Savings Goals:

1. Navigate to your child's dashboard.
2. Tap on the Savings tile.
3. Tap on the Savings Goal you’d like to add money to.
4. Choose “Move $ In.”
5. Choose where you’d like the money to come from and the amount you’d like to move into General Savings.
6. Confirm your choices and tap “Move Money” to complete the process.
7. Your child’s Savings Goal balance will update automatically.

* Greenlight + Invest families can earn monthly rewards of 1% per annum, Greenlight Core and Greenlight Select families can earn monthly rewards of 2% per annum, Greenlight Max families can earn 3% per annum, and Greenlight Infinity families can earn 5% per annum on an average daily savings balance of up to $5,000 per family.
