Forgot your password or just need to update it? Resetting your Greenlight password is simple! Whether you’re the Primary, an Approver, a Child or an Older Adult, you’ll find step-by-step instructions below to help you get back into your account quickly and securely.
Primary or Approver
How to update your password from within the app:

- Navigate to your Settings by tapping the gear icon in the top right of your home dashboard
- Tap "Security"
- Tap “Password”
- Enter your current password and then create and confirm a new password
- Tap “Submit” to save your new password
How to reset your password if you forgot it and are logged in:

- Navigate to your Settings by tapping the gear icon in the top right of your home dashboard
- Tap "Security"
- Tap “Password”
- Tap “Forgot your password” located near the bottom of the screen
- Enter in your email address, phone number, or username and tap “Request password reset”
We will send a reset password link to your email address on file. Remember to access this link on your mobile phone, as it will guide you back to your app to set up a new password!
How to reset your password if you forgot it and are logged out of your Greenlight app:

- Tap the “Sign in” button on the home page of the app
- Tap “Forgot password”
- Enter in your email, phone number, or username
- Tap “Request password reset”
We will send a reset password link to your email address on file so you can reset your password.
How to reset your child or older adult’s password on your account if they need help:

- Tap their profile from the top of your app
- Tap “Profile”
- Tap “Security”
- Tap “Password”
- Enter in the password to verify your account and tap “Submit”
- Enter in and confirm a new password for them and tap “Submit”
They can now log in successfully from their app using their new password!
Child or Older Adult
How to update your password from within the app:

- Tap “Security”
- Tap “Password”
- Enter your current password and then create and confirm a new password
- Tap “Submit” to save your new password
How to reset your password if you forgot it and are logged in:

- Navigate to your Settings by tapping the gear icon in the top right of your Dashboard
- Tap "Security"
- Tap “Password”
- Tap “Forgot your password” located near the bottom of the screen
- Enter in your email, phone number, or username and tap “Request password reset”
- If you do not have an email address associated with your Greenlight profile, the reset password email link will be sent to the Primary Accountholder’s email address instead!
