How do I refer a friend to Greenlight?

You can earn up to $600 when you refer five friends.

For every friend you refer, you can receive an even bigger cash payout.*

• First friend - $30
• Second friend - $50
• Third friend - $70
• Fourth friend - $150
• Fifth friend - $300

Friends earn, too! Referred friends receive $30 when they sign-up and meet the reward criteria: paying at least 1 monthly fee and being a customer for more than 35 days.**

*There is a limit of $600 in referral rewards per calendar year. Once you reach that limit you will no longer be able to receive further rewards until the next calendar year. 

** Please note that Advocates and Friends will not be rewarded at Friend sign-up. We'll give you and your friend a cash reward after they’ve been with Greenlight for 35 days and have paid at least one monthly fee. In order for the teen to receive the reward, it must be approved by the parent. If approval by the parent is not received, the reward is paid to the Parent’s Wallet. Here's how to refer a friend:

1) From your Parent Dashboard, click on the 'Invite friends, get up to $600' button at the top of the screen or scroll down to the photo of two teens and click to get to your referral dashboard. You can also get to the referral page by clicking on 'Refer a friend' from your settings or by clicking on the notification in the parent dash that says 'Refer a friend.'

2) On the referral screen you’ll have the option to copy your unique referral link, send it in a text or email, or you can share to Facebook from the Greenlight app (in accordance with our terms). Easy as that! Make sure your friend signs up with your unique link so we can successfully track them as your referral and give you both your reward.

3) Once your friend has been with Greenlight for 35 days, and pays at least one monthly fee, you'll both receive your cash reward.

What counts as a successful referral?

In order for your referrals to count, the referred individual will need to do the following:
1) Click your referral link and complete their Greenlight registration.
2) Be a Greenlight customer for 35 days.

3) Pay at least one monthly fee.

4) Referral rewards will be added automatically into your Greenlight Parent's Wallet. 

Teens can refer, too!

Both parents AND teens 13+ can refer friends to Greenlight and earn rewards. 

Here's how it works:

• Greenlight teens 13 and older will find their unique referral link in the app by tapping the 'Invite friends, get up to $600' button on the app's home screen. 
• Teens can share their link via text, email, and more.
• When a referred friend signs up for Greenlight, is a customer for 35 days, and pays at least one monthly fee, teens receive a referral reward.
• All referral rewards are sent to the parent/guardian. Once the parent accepts the reward, it is deposited into the Parent’s Wallet.
• Parents can easily send the referral reward to the teen’s ‘Spend Anywhere’, or the teen can request that the parent transfer the reward to their ‘Spend Anywhere’.

The standard referral tiers (see above) apply for teens, too.
