Ready to use your Greenlight card with Google Wallet? After you activate your card, it only takes a few quick steps to add it—either from the Greenlight app or directly in the Google Wallet app!
How to add your card to your Google Wallet
Add via the Greenlight App
On your device as a child or older adult:
- Open your Greenlight app
- Tap you “Accounts” tab
- Tap “Manage your debit card”
- Tap “Add to Google Wallet”
- Tap “Continue” (no need to enter your name or card details)
- Agree to the Cardholder Agreement
- You may be prompted to verify your card using the one-time passcode (OTP) sent via text or email
- You’ll see a confirmation screen once the card has successfully been added!
Add via the Google Wallet App
On your device as a child or older adult:
- Open the Google Wallet app
- Tap the Add (+) button at the bottom of your screen
- Tap "Payment card"
- Choose "New credit or debit card"
- To add your card details you can either scan your card with your camera or click on "Enter details manually” at the bottom of the screen and enter the Card Number, Expiration Date, CVV, and Cardholder Name manually
- Tap “Save”
- You may be prompted to Verify Your Card. This may involve:
- Entering a one-time passcode (OTP) sent via text or email
- Or, by calling a number provided on the screen
- Once verified, your card is ready to use!
How to pay using your Google Wallet
Ensure your phone is unlocked, and hold the back of your phone near the point of sale terminal.

- Monday–Friday: 7am– 1am EST
- Saturday–Sunday: 8am– 8pm EST
