If you see a charge from “Greenlight” on your bank statement, it usually means there was recent billing or funding activity on your account to your Greenlight account. This could include your monthly subscription charge, money manually being moved from your bank to your Greenlight account, or an autofunding transfer.
How Greenlight charges appear on your statement
Greenlight transactions typically appear on bank statements as “Greenlight.” Since Greenlight is based in Atlanta, Georgia, the charge may also include Atlanta, GA.
Common reasons you may see a Greenlight charge
You may see a charge from Greenlight for one of the following reasons:
- A subscription fee for your Greenlight plan
- A bank transfer or load to fund your Greenlight account
- Other authorized account funding activity initiated by the Primary Accountholder or an Approver
How to see what the charge was for
To review details about funding-related charges, the Primary Accountholder or an Approver can view the account’s funding history in the Greenlight app.
To view your funding history:
- Tap the Settings gear icon in the top right of the screen
- Tap “Account”
- Tap” Funding”
- Tap “Funding History” to see a detailed list of past transfers and loads
This history will show you the transaction dates and amounts, so you can match them to your bank statement!
What to do if you don’t recognize a charge
If you don’t recognize a Greenlight charge after reviewing your funding history and subscription details, you can text us at 404-974-3024 and we’ll be happy to take a look. If we’re unable to locate the charge, we recommend disputing the charge with your bank.
