With Greenlight Family Shield, you can lock or unlock your TransUnion credit file anytime, right from the Greenlight app! It's a simple way to control who can access your credit, without any extra steps or phone calls needed.
How do I lock my TransUnion Credit Report?
- Tap the “Accounts” tab at the bottom of your screen
- Under your credit score in “Credit Protection”, tap “Lock”
- You’ll be taken to the “Credit Lock” page
- Tap “Lock Credit Report” to lock your TransUnion credit report

How do I unlock my TransUnion Credit Report?
- Tap the Accounts tab at the bottom of your screen.
- Under your credit score in “Credit Protection”, tap the “Credit is locked” tile
- You’ll be taken to the “Credit Lock" page
- Tap Unlock Credit Report to to unlock your TransUnion credit report
Why does it say “Service Is Temporarily Down”?
If you see a “Service is temporarily down” message when trying to access your credit lock status, it’s usually due to a temporary network or service issue.
Try the following:
- Exit the current screen and try again
- Fully close the Greenlight app, then reopen it and retry
