You can view your Safe Family Device’s recent location history directly in the Greenlight app. This allows you to see where the device has been, including arrival and departure details for each stop.
With Greenlight’s Safe Family Device, staying connected to the people (and pets!) who matter most is simple. You can view your device’s recent location history anytime in the app to see where it’s been, including arrival and departure details for each stop.
- Open the Greenlight app
- If you see a “Safety” tab, tap “Safety”
- If you’re on the Greenlight Safe Family plan, you won’t see a “Safety” tab since this will be your main page already
From here, you can decide whether you’d like to see the activity history for everyone or just one device:
To view the activity history for your whole family
- Tap “Family” and scroll down to “Family activity” to see recent activity for all family members and devices on your account
To view the activity history for a specific Safe Family Device
- Tap the name of the device you’d like to view
- Scroll down to “[Device name]’s activity”
- Each activity entry will show:
- The date the activity occurred
- The arrival and departure times (if available)
- The location name or address
- Each activity entry will show:
- If you’d like to create a place alert for a location shown in the history, tap “Add alert” directly from the activity entry
Tap any activity log to see more detailed information, including a more precise location and the most accurate arrival and departure times available.
Not seeing recent location updates?
If your device’s history isn’t updating, fully close out of your Greenlight app and re-open it. If the location history hasn’t updated, please check that:
- Your Greenlight app is fully up to date
- The device has sufficient battery power
- The device has cellular signal
- Your device subscription is active
