Whether you want to disconnect your accounts, take a break from Smart Savings, or remove your data entirely, we've made it straightforward. Here's how each option works.
How do I disconnect my bank accounts?
Disconnecting your accounts stops Smart Savings from accessing your transaction data immediately. Your Smart Savings account remains intact — you can reconnect accounts and pick up where you left off at any time.
- Open Smart Savings and tap "Settings"
- Select "Connected accounts"
- Tap the account you'd like to disconnect and select "Disconnect"
- Repeat for any additional accounts
How do I delete my Smart Savings data entirely?
If you'd like all of your Smart Savings data removed, start by disconnecting your bank accounts first (see above) — this stops any ongoing data access right away. Then, submit a data removal request using the form below.

If you're a Greenlight member
Your Smart Savings data and your main Greenlight account are separate. Deleting your Smart Savings data does not affect your Greenlight family account, cards, or any other Greenlight features. If you'd like to delete your full Greenlight account as well, that's a separate request — our support team can help with both.
If you signed up for Smart Savings only (non-Greenlight user)
Deleting your Smart Savings data removes your only account with us. Once completed, you'll no longer have access to Smart Savings. If you'd ever like to use Smart Savings again in the future, you're welcome to sign up again at app.greenlight.com/g/smart-savings.
What if I have active requests when I stop using Smart Savings?
If you have any cancellation or negotiation requests in progress when you request data deletion, those may need to complete or be cancelled before your deletion can be finalized. Reach out to our support team and we'll help you sort it out.
