Setting up the stand
The stand lets your Family Hub sit on a counter, table, or shelf. Follow the steps below for your model.
15.6-inch model — stand setup
- Place your Family Hub face down on a soft, flat surface to protect the screen
- Align the bracket at the top of the stand mount with one of the corresponding holes on the back of the device
- Place the bracket in the hole and push the bracket upward to secure the stand tightly
- Stand your device upright
Once your stand is assembled:
- Insert the power cable into the power port on the back of your device
- Plug the other end into a wall outlet
The 15.6-inch model must stay plugged in at all times for use.
10.1-inch model — stand setup
- Place your Family Hub face down on a soft, flat surface to protect the screen
- Align the bracket at the top of the stand mount with one of the corresponding holes on the back of the device
- Place the bracket in the hole and push the bracket upward to secure the stand tightly
- Stand your device upright
The 10.1-inch model can run on battery, but make sure to keep the battery charged for consistent usage and the best experience, especially during setup!
Wall mounting your Family Hub
The wall mount lets you hang your Family Hub directly on the wall — ideal for kitchens, mudrooms, or hallways. The 15.6-inch model is especially designed for a permanent wall installation.
What you'll need (not included):
- Power drill
- 1/4" drill bit (with Phillips head attachment)
Wall mounting steps:
- Choose your wall location — pick a spot with a nearby outlet, strong Wi-Fi signal, and good visibility and reachability for the whole family
- Hold the mount against the wall and mark the anchor points with a pencil, using the built-in level to help keep things straight. The anchor points will be the holes in line with the built-in level
- Use your drill and 1/4" drill bit to drill into the marked anchor points
- Insert the wall anchors into the drilled holes
- Attach the mount to the wall by drilling the included screws through the anchor holes on the mount and into the wall anchors you just placed in the wall’s drill holes. Make sure to use a drill with the Phillips head for the proper fit.
- Insert the power cable into the power port on the back of your device before hanging
- Align the slots on the back of your device (either portrait or landscape orientation) with the “hooks” that stick out of the wall mount
- Slide the device onto the mount until it clicks securely into place
- Route the power cable to the nearest outlet and plug in!
Tip: For the cleanest look, you can consider using a cable management channel or routing the cable inside the wall before mounting. This is especially worthwhile for the 15.6-inch model, which stays plugged in permanently.

Finding your serial number
Your Family Hub’s serial number can be found in three places:
- On the label on the back of the Hub
- On the original packaging
- From your Family Hub (once set up):
- Tap the “Settings” gear from your navigation bar
- Tap “Device”
- Tap “System”
- Here, you can see your Serial number, Firmware version, and Software Version
You may be asked for your serial number when contacting Greenlight Support for assistance. Here's an example of what it looks like: GLH15V126B01000001
Caring for your Family Hub
- Clean the screen with a soft, slightly damp microfiber cloth — avoid paper towels or abrasive materials
- Don't spray liquid directly onto the screen or ports
- Keep the vents clear — avoid placing objects that block the back of the device
- We do not advise using any third-party charging cables for either model. Only the in charging cables included should be used for your Family Hub
- If your Family Hub becomes unresponsive, press and hold the power button for 10 seconds to force a restart
What's next?
Now that your device is physically set up, it's time to connect it to your Greenlight account and get your family set up!
