What permissions can I grant the Authorized Approver?

If you would like to add an Authorized Approver to your Greenlight account, click here for the steps!

Once you’ve added the Authorized Approver to your Greenlight account, you can grant them access to help manage the older adult and child’s account by following the steps below:

    1. Tap the settings gear from the family dashboard
    2. Tap “My Family
    3. Tap on the Authorized Approver’s name
    4. Check the box next to the family member you’d like to grant permission for

They will then be able to manage the older adult’s Greenlight debit card if they have one, and monitor their linked external accounts (to review transactions and set account alerts). 

You can also grant permission to the Authorized Approver to have access to view and manage your linked external accounts as the Primary by:

    1. Tap “Settings” next to your monitored accounts section on your home dashboard
    2. Tap “Permissions
    3. Here, you can toggle on/off the approver’s access to “Share monitored accounts”, “Share account balances”, or “Share transactions

What permissions can an older adult or child grant for their monitored account?

The older adult or child on your account will be able to grant permission to the Primary Accountholder or Authorized Approver so that they can view the balances and transactions of their linked accounts for account monitoring.

    1. Tap “Settings” next to account monitoring 
    2. Tap “Sharing permissions
    3. Here, you can toggle on and off the permissions for each family member!
