How do I close my account and get a refund?

To close your account using the Greenlight app:

  • Please take a moment to transfer any remaining funds out of your account back to your primary bank account.
  • Then, open your settings by tapping on the wheel in the upper right corner of your Parent dashboard.
  • Tap ‘Account’ then ‘My plan’
  • From there, scroll down, and select ‘Close account’

* Please note: the primary account holder is required to close the account.

If you do not wish to close your account in the app, please submit a support request here.

Here’s what happens next if you decide to move forward with closing your account:

  • Your family's app and debit card access will be canceled immediately.
  • Any investments will be sold at market value.
    • This means we will sell your investments at the market’s current available price. If the market is closed when you request an account closure, your investments will be sold on the following business day. Securities may open below or above where they closed the previous business day.
  • Any remaining account balances will be refunded in 5-7 business days.

While we are sorry to hear that you plan to close your account, we’re here to help. If you still have further questions please:
