How do I manage my family members' profile's on my Greenlight Family Hub?

This article explains how to add, edit, and remove family members from your Family Hub, and how profiles work across the Hub and the Greenlight mobile app!

Family member roles

Parent / Admin — the primary account holder who set up the Hub. Has full access to all settings and features, manages the admin PIN, and approves chores and other parent-level actions.

Approver — a trusted adult, like a co-parent or caregiver, who can approve chores and access certain parent-level actions by using the same admin PIN as the admin. Approvers are added and managed from the Greenlight mobile app. 

Child — a family member with their own profile on the Hub. Children can view the calendar, complete chores, use the AI assistant (Family Hub Plus), view their star balance, add to lists, and see photos.

How do I add a family member?

You can add family members during initial setup or at any time after.

  1. On your Family Hub, tap the settings gear icon in the navigation bar
  2. Tap the "Family" tab
  3. In the Family Members section, tap "+ Add family member"
  4. Enter the family member's name, role, and date of birth (for children)
  5. Optionally enter their phone number to send them an invite to the Greenlight app
  6. Tap "Save"

You can also add family members from the Greenlight mobile app.

How do I edit a family member's profile?

  1. On your Hub, tap the settings gear icon in the navigation bar
  2. Tap the "Family" tab
  3. Tap the family member's name in the Family Members list
  4. A profile screen slides open — update any of the following:
    • Display name
    • Avatar — choose from a preset character library or tap "Upload" to use a photo
    • Profile color — choose from a range of colors including Red, Orange, Yellow, Lime, Green, Teal, Blue, Purple, and Pink
  5. Tap "Save"

How do I remove a family member?

  1. On your Hub, tap the settings gear icon in the navigation bar
  2. Tap the "Family" tab
  3. Tap the family member you want to remove
  4. Tap "Delete" on their profile screen
  5. Confirm when prompted — enter your admin PIN if asked

Removing a family member removes them from all Family Hub features, including the calendar, chores, lists, and photos. This action can't be undone.

How do I update household information?

  1. On your Hub, tap the settings gear icon in the navigation bar
  2. Tap the "Family" tab
  3. Tap "[Family Name] Family" at the top of the tab
  4. Update the Household Name and tap "Done"

Good to know: Your Family Hub email address cannot be changed and your home address is read-only on the Hub. To update your home address, follow the steps in this article from your Greenlight app! 

How do I switch between family member views?

On the Calendar, Chores, and other main Hub screens, you can switch between seeing the whole family's information or focusing on one person. Tap the profile icons in the top corner of the screen to toggle between views — no PIN required.

What happens to a family member's data if they're removed?

Removing a family member removes their profile and all associated data from your Hub — including their chores, star balance, and any calendar events attributed to them. This can't be undone.
