How do I set up SOS alerts on my device and on my kids devices?

For SOS alerts* to work for all of your Greenlight account members, each individual must set up their SOS alerts on their own device while logged into their own Greenlight app.

To set up ‘SOS alerts’ on your device:

  1. Log in to your Greenlight account on your device
  1. Scroll down on your home dashboard to your ‘Family Safety’ tile
  2. In your Safety dashboard, you’ll see the all features not yet active. Tap ‘Activate’ and follow the flows to activate yourself. Tap ‘Remind’ to send a text to your kids for them to activate.
  3. Tap through the onboarding screens to complete set up
  4. You’re all set! Now you’ll be able to send an SOS alert to 911 and/or any member of your Greenlight account that also has ‘SOS Alert’ set up

In some app versions+, you will find the ‘Safety’ tab at the bottom of the screen:

  1. Log in to your Greenlight account on your device
  1. Tap on the ‘Safety’ tab at the bottom of the screen
  2. In your Safety dashboard, you’ll see all the features not yet active.
