What data is shared with 911 in case of a crash or an SOS alert?

When a crash or SOS alert is sent from the Greenlight app, certain information may be shared with 911 to help emergency responders locate and assist the person involved.

This information may include:

  • The name of the Primary Accountholder, Authorized Approver, child, or older adult involved
  • The profile image associated with the account (if available)
  • The phone number linked to the account
  • The device’s location at the time of the crash or SOS alert
  • An emergency contact’s name and phone number (typically a Primary Accountholder or Authorized Approver)

When is 911 contacted?

911 may be contacted when a crash or SOS alert is sent from the Greenlight app.

SOS alerts sent from a Greenlight Safety Device do not contact 911. Instead, these alerts are shared with designated family members via SMS and the Greenlight app so they can respond directly.
