How do I manage location sharing settings for a family member?

Location sharing in Greenlight is all about keeping your family connected, and the best part is, you're in full control of how that looks for each person. Here's how to adjust what each family member can see from your device.

How do I manage location sharing settings as a Primary Accountholder or Authorized Approver?

As a Primary Accountholder or Authorized Approver, you have the most flexibility! You can tailor location sharing permissions for each family member individually, so everyone gets exactly the right level of visibility

1. Tap the Safety tab at the bottom of the screen
2. Tap the settings gear in the top right corner
3. Tap "Location sharing and alerts"
4. Find the family member whose settings you'd like to update
5. Toggle any of the following on or off:
   • Can view my location — lets this family member see your last known location
   • Can receive alerts about my location — lets this family member receive notifications based on your location
   • Can view my location history — lets this family member see a history of where you've been
   • Can see alerts I've created — lets this family member view the place alerts you've set up

Please keep in mind that any permission changes take place immediately — no need to save!

How do I manage location sharing settings as a kid, teen, or older adult?

Kids, teens, and older adults have their own location sharing controls too! You can adjust the visibility for other family members on the account. Keep in mind these settings options don't apply to the Primary or Approver.

1. Tap the Safety tab at the bottom of the screen
2. Tap the settings gear in the top right corner
3. Tap "Location sharing and alerts"
4. Find the family member whose settings you'd like to update
5. Toggle either of the following on or off:
   • Can view my location — lets this family member see your real-time location
   • Can view my location history — lets this family member see a log of where you've been
