Can the Greenlight card be used with mobile wallets? How do I replace my card in a mobile wallet?

Yes! Once your physical Greenlight card has been received and activated, it can be added to Apple Wallet, Google Wallet, or Samsung Wallet for a fast, secure, and convenient checkout experience.

Important: Greenlight does not offer virtual card details. You must have your physical card handy in order to add it to your mobile wallet.

Before You Begin

Please keep the following in mind before setting up your Greenlight card in a mobile wallet:

  • Age requirement: Children must be 13 or older to add their Greenlight card to Apple Wallet, Google Wallet, or Samsung Wallet
  • Account contact info: Your child or older adult must have a valid email or phone number connected to their Greenlight account
  • Who can add the card: Only the child or older adult can add their debit card to their mobile wallet from their device(s). This feature is not available in the Primary Accountholder or Authorized Approver’s app

Replacement Card With the Same Card Number

(Damaged, expired, or a new custom card ordered)

  1. After receiving your new card, activate it within the Greenlight app. (The old card will remain usable until the new one is activated.)
  2. Open the Wallet app you want to add the card to (Apple Wallet, Google Wallet, or Samsung Wallet)
  3. Select and Delete or Remove the old card from your wallet
  4. Add the new card using one of the following methods:
  • Via the Greenlight App: Use the "Add to Wallet" feature visible in the Greenlight app. (This feature appears only after the old card has been successfully removed from your wallet.)
  • Manually: Follow the manual setup steps from the previous section. (This feature works only after the old card has been successfully removed from your wallet.) 

Replacement Card With a Different Card Number

(Lost or stolen card)

This replacement is treated as a brand new card enrollment. You must follow the initial setup steps (from the previous section) for the respective wallet:

  • Via the Greenlight App: Use the Greenlight app’s "Add to Wallet" feature
  • Manually: Add the card manually using the respective wallet app
