“Up for grabs” chores are chores that you can make available to any child on your account to claim, instead of assigning it to them specifically. It’s a great way to build independence and allow kids to choose the chores they’re ready to tackle!

How can I edit or delete an “Up for grabs” chore?
- Tap the “Chores” tab from the bottom of your Greenlight app
- Under any of the children’s “Up for grabs” section, tap on the chore you’d like to edit
- Tap “Edit Chore”
- Here, you can edit the chore details and tap “Update chore” or tap “Delete chore” to remove it
Can I assign an “Up for grabs” chore instead?
Absolutely! If you’ve changed your mind and would like to make an “Up for grabs” chore an “Assigned” chore instead, just follow the steps below
- Tap the “Chores” tab from the bottom of your Greenlight app
- Tap the profile of the child you’d like to assign the chore to from the top of your app
- Under their “Up for grabs” section, tap “Assign” underneath the chore you would like to assign to them
- All set! It is now up to them to complete that chore

How do I claim an “Up for grabs” chore?
Kids can claim an “Up for grabs” chore by following the steps below from their app:
- Tap on your “Chores” tab
- Under the “Up for grabs” section all of the available “Up for grabs” chores will be listed
- Tap “Claim chore”
- Once claimed, that chore will show up in your full list of chores
