When will my child's allowance pay out?

Parents can choose a day that they would like their child’s allowance to be paid on a weekly, bi-weekly or monthly schedule. Once you have set your child’s allowance, you can expect your child to be paid regularly on the day of your choosing — so long as you have funds available in your Parent’s Wallet or have enabled Autofunding. 

If you have connected your child’s chores and allowance, and selected the “All or nothing” payout option, your child will only be paid if 100% of their weekly chores are marked completed before their allowance payday.  

No matter which allowance setting you choose, Greenlight will send you a notification the day before allowance is due and you can always choose to pause allowance from the Allowance page.

To pause an allowance for one of your children, follow these steps:

1. Navigate to your child's dashboard.
2. Tap on the Allowance tile. 
3. Use the toggle to turn allowance off.
