Does Greenlight require a minimum balance?

Nope! There’s no minimum balance required for your Greenlight account.

You don’t need to keep a certain amount of money in your Greenlight Wallet to keep your account open or active. If your balance goes down to $0, that’s completely okay — your account will still be there whenever you’re ready to add more funds.

We want managing money with Greenlight to feel flexible and stress-free, not like something you have to constantly monitor just to meet a requirement.

What happens if I don’t have enough money for my subscription fee?

If you have a Greenlight Wallet, your monthly subscription fee comes out of your Wallet first. If there isn't enough money in it at that time, we'll simply charge your linked payment method instead. Either way, your plan continues without interruption, even if your Wallet balance is low when the payment is due.

If your Greenlight Wallet hasn't been activated yet, your plan is paid by the card or account you chose when you signed up. If your payment fails and we aren’t able to collect your subscription fee, your account will be subject to deactivation.
