The Accounts page brings your family's Greenlight money management onto your Family Hub, with balances, recent activity, and a quick way to move money, all on your family's shared screen! Tap the $ icon in your Hub’s navigation bar to open your Accounts page.

Good to know: Greenlight financial accounts are only available on Greenlight plans that include the option to order debit cards for your family: Core, Max, Infinity, and Family Shield.

How do I check an account balance on my Family Hub?

  1. Tap the  Accounts page on your Hub’s navigation bar. You'll land on the first child on your account, with their total money in a chart, a balance for each of their accounts, and their recent activity split into Pending and Posted transactions
  2. To see other family member’s financial account information, tap their profile icon at the top of the page. Depending on how your Hub is orientated, you'll see a row of avatars or a dropdown list to choose from
  3. To focus on one account, tap it. The chart highlights that balance, the activity below switches to just that account, and you'll find its spend controls, savings goals, or charities there too
  4. Tap "View all" for the full activity list, or the "X" to head back to all of their accounts

Balances update in real time, so what's on screen is always current to what you’ll see in your Greenlight app!

Investing works a little differently. You'll see the transaction history of the funds moved into an Invest account on your Family Hub, but the investments themselves are managed in the Greenlight app. To learn more about investing with Greenlight, click here!

Nothing in an account yet? If there's no balance and no activity, you'll see a QR code instead of a list. Scan it with your phone to add money to your account from your Greenlight app.

How do I see the details of a transaction on my Family Hub?

  1. Tap any transaction to see the merchant or source, the amount, and whether it's Pending or Posted. For anything still pending, you'll also see when it's expected to settle
  2. Look under Transaction details for the date, the transaction type, the last four digits of the card, and the transaction ID
  3. Tap "X" to close the “Transaction details” and return to the list

How do I move money on my Family hub?

You can move money within your Greenlight account right on your Family Hub, whether you're sending it from your Greenlight Wallet or shifting it between a child's own accounts. The admin PIN is always required.

  1. From the Accounts page, tap “Send $” at the top of the page
  2. Enter your admin PIN
  3. Pick an amount ($5, $10, $15, $20, $50), or type in a custom amount
  4. Choose where you’d like the funds to come From and where you’d like those funds to go To
  5. Tap "Add note" if you'd like to send a message along with it
  6. Tap "Transfer"

You'll see a confirmation right away, and balance updates on the spot!

Good to know: Moving money between children, and moving money into cash to invest must be done in your Greenlight app, this is not supported on your Hub. You can take care of both from the Greenlight app anytime following these steps.

Who can see balances and activity on the Family Hub?

By default, anyone in your family can open the Accounts page and see balances and activity for everyone, including tapping between family members. No PIN is needed at first but you can always change those settings on your Hub.

When you first open your Accounts page, your Hub will ask whether you'd like to add PIN protection so you can decide whether you’d like to add that restriction.

How can I manage access to the Accounts page?

You can choose whether opening the Accounts page asks for your admin PIN. It's managed in your Hub's “Protected Actions” in Settings, alongside the other actions you can choose to protect or leave open.

One thing to know before you turn it on: it covers the Accounts page as a whole, so your children won't be able to check their own balances on the Hub without the PIN either.

Moving money always requires the admin PIN, no matter how this setting is configured.

Can I ask the AI assistant about accounts?

You sure can, on plans that include the AI assistant! Ask about balances or recent activity and it'll tell you what's going on. It can't move money or change anything within those accounts, so those actions will have to be done manually in the Greenlight app. For more, visit How to use the Greenlight AI assistant in Family Hub.
